Jack and Annie Blizzard by the blue moon

Jack and Annie go to New York and their mission is to find a unicorn and a little girl must love him. So they had a book of spells and spell they had left was to turn other people into ducks. So somebody else was trying to the unicorn. So the other people got the unicorn but Jack and Annie got him back by using their only spell: turning people in to ducks. The people who were trying to get the unicorn turned into ducks for a little while.

Mc Broom's One-Acre farm

I like the book because when he planted beans, they shot up so fast! His daughters learned to ride corn stalks like po-go sticks. The boys rode pumpkins, like they planted the seeds and waited until the blossoms disappeared and jumped on to the pumpkins

Masterpiece

I like this book because it's about a beetle and a boy. The beetle's family doesn't want the humans to know about them, but the beetle disobeys his mom and makes friends with the boy. They travel a lot of places and the boy's mom finds a little picture that she thinks the boy made, but really the beetle made it. And the beetle makes a lot more and puts them around the house. The boy's mom still thinks it's the boy's drawings. The beetle doesn't tell his mom that he's friends with the human and is drawing pictures for him. The boy's name is James, and the beetle's name is Marvin.

The Boxcar Children

We just finished reading the first book in The Boxcar Children series for homeschool. It's about four children whose parents died and they are hiding from their grandfather. They find a boxcar in the woods and turn it into their homes and make a swimming pool in the river.

I like the book because of the ending when they meet their grandfather and they like him.
